Happy Birthday (oh, and St. Patty's Day)

We were super busy this St. Patrick's day because it was a day filled with Birthday parties.  We started by meeting Matt's extended family at the Spaghetti Factory in Salt Lake (I know, very Irish) for his Grandma's birthday party.  We ended up at a table with Matt's cousin Aaron and his family.  It was fun to talk to them while we enjoyed our meal.  Matt was a great uncle/cousin and showed the kids how to make balloons make that horrible noise they make when you blow them up and then stretch the opening.  Yep, that went on for the next hour or so in the restaurant (sorry all the other people there!)

After our Italian meal we headed to Bountiful to meet my family at El Matador (yep also very Irish) for my mom's birthday dinner.

After dinner we headed to my sister Chrystie's house for cake and ice cream.  She had a bunch of balloons at her house, and I brought some more that I cleaned up from Grandma's party, so we had a ton of balloons.  My nephew Dax wanted to see if he could fly, so he gathered all the balloons and had them tied to his wrist.  Then we climbed up on the couch and jumped off.  None of us were really paying attention until he yelled out in disappointment that he wasn't able to fly.  He was so sad about that - but it was so cute.

Happy Birthday Mom and Grandma!

I didn't realize you had TWO "Irish" meals that day! Lucky you.
