Busy!

I was just complaining about how fast October went by, and BAM! it is already more than half way through November. Time is flying by - and I have been a slacker in my blogging about it.

I hate to say it, but a lot of the reason for that is that we just haven't been doing very interesting stuff. I am sure you would all love to read about our spending time watching TV or cleaning the house, but really, that just isn't exciting. I will try to pick out the highlights of what has been going on in our lives these past couple weeks.

The first week in November we went to a Utah Grizzlies Hockey game. I was in Salt Lake for a training class, so Matt picked me up and we went out to watch the game. It was bad. I hate to say it, but the Grizzlies did not play a good game. I believe we were down by 4 goals when we left. Hopefully it won't be the only game we go to this year, because it left a sort of sour taste in my mouth.

Matt has been doing some awesome woodworking. He made himself some work benches for the garage. I wish I had taken before and after pictures of the mess in the garage so you all could see how much better it looks now. He borrowed a saw from the neighbor across the street and pretty much put them together himself. I think they are really cool - especially when you consider he didn't have a workbench to use when making them.

It really snowed for the first time last Saturday (the 14th). We didn't have any big plans, so we spent a lot of the day just watching it snow and drinking hot chocolate. We did have a little rush when we tried to pull the barbaque and fire pit into the garage. We decided we didn't want it to get covered in snow - We saved them, but got a little cold and wet in the process.

Oh, another good thing I discovered this month was SpaceBags! Really - as seen on TV. We bought them from Bed Bath and Beyond a while ago using up the last of a gift card. But when we used them it was exciting. We emptied a couple large storage tupperware and some giant garbage bags and now we have the contents zipped, sucked, and stacked in the closet. Really cool! We picked more up at Costco and have been SpaceBagging everything we can. The stuff will probably come out all wrinkled, but it fits so nicely. They don't go down as flat and great as they did on the commercial, but still better than the big tupperware alternative!
Now we are getting ready for Thanksgiving. I decided that I wouldn't put up my Christmas tree until after Thanksgiving this year, but it has been hard. I am so ready for a jolt of the holiday spirit.

Hi, sweetie. I used to have to wrestle you girls to keep the tree from going up really early. It seems like it went up on Thanksgiving, or Thanksgiving Eve a lot. Love ya!
