We have been watching a lot of movies lately. We have actually been to the movies twice in one month! That is pretty huge for us. We saw TRON a few weeks ago. I liked it, fun for a distracting movie. I was bothered a little by the animated Jeff Bridges, but not too bad.
Last Friday we saw True Grit. The people I work with really liked the movie, so I was happy to go see it. I was extra happy because we had passes to the movies (I bought those months ago and haven’t used them yet) so it was free!
We arrived at the movie too early, so we were walking around the stores nearby. There is a store called G4G where they sell all sorts of different sporting equipment. The kid working there was nice (and probably a little bored) so he let Matt take a trip down the sidewalk on one of their trikes.
On Saturday we took a trip back down town to visit Winterfest. It was pretty cool to see that they had piled snow all down 25th Street. They were doing the snowmobile races while we were there. It was definitely loud. It was pretty cool too; they were doing about a quarter mile track and just going as fast as they could. I heard they got up to 100 mph on some of the races. We climbed up the hill and at the top there were kids sledding. I was impressed that no one was there taking names and making people sign waivers. The kids were having lots of fun.
I know it was only the 2nd time they have done Winterfest in Ogden, and we might try it again next year. Maybe we will look at the schedule first and see what events are going on so we can plan to see the more fun events. We also didn’t make it around the amphitheater to see most of the booths. By the time we realized they were back there we were on the wrong side of the road and I didn’t want to walk all the way down to an end to get back. Yes, I am lazy!
So January was fun – I am looking forward to a good February too. I like February (it is short, and then it is spring!)

I hate February. The only good thing about February is that it is short. Did you like True Grit?
We drove by the Winterfest, but we were too cold to get out. So you are a lot braver than us!!
Sounds like fun, gotta do something to amuse yourself in the wintertime. I'm glad to hear your elliptical was still under warranty!
Spring? I vaguely remember something about that...
