Matt and I were pretty excited when we heard there was going to be a solar eclipse this year. I remember a lot of talk about an eclipse when I was a kid, but no one would let us look at it (I think we were supposed to make a box or something...
Anyway, we decided we wanted to share our enthusiasm with Matt's aunt and her family, so we drove up to Mountain Green and took all of our equipment. We had some great dinner and then set out to set up our viewing device. Matt set up his telescope and a screen and we were ready.
We projected the eclipse on the piece of paper and it was really crisp and a great picture. It got a little cloudy during the best part of the eclipse, but even then we didn't get a total where we were, but it was really close - and very awesome.
