Matt's aunt Amy was in town from Florida and asked if she could stay at our house for a couple nights. Bev came over with Becky's kids to stay Saturday night also. I didn't spend too much time socializing that night because I was trying to keep Emmy on her schedule after having slept through the night for almost a week.
We woke up in the morning and started getting ready - of course Emmy had a morning nap. She fell asleep on my legs and her head started sliding. Like any good mom, I took a picture before I pulled her out, because - those ears!

We got her all ready for Church in her pretty new blessing dress. Dawn and I had gone shopping the week before to find a perfectly cute dress. It was like a little wedding dress for a baby. I must say that I loved it! I wanted to protect it from baby slobber so she is wearing a bib crocheted by her aunt Val. This is a selfie taken by Aunt Amy.
Matt was excited to give the blessing. He put a lot of thought and prayer into what to say. unfortunately, no one got to hear what he said. When he took her up to the stand he took off her bib. He didn't realize the binki was attached to the bib. As soon as the blessing started Emmy began to cry. It just got worse and worse. Nothing he or any of the other guys in the circle could do anything to calm her down. But miraculously as soon as he said Amen and they opened the circle she stopped crying. He gave her to me and she fell almost immediately to sleep.
After church we came home and took some pictures of her in her pretty dress..
After church we had some chili at our house for family to come and eat. We were pleasantly surprised that Matt's aunts and Grandma came up from Vernal for the blessing. It was great to get some 4 Generation pictures with Emmy, her Dad, Grandma, and Great Grandma Olsen.
