Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday to You, Happy Birthday to You, Happy Birthday Dear Ma-at, Happy Birthday to you!
It is Matt's Birthday today, and I am excited to get home from work early and give him the silly present I bought him. I would post here and tell you all what it was, but he may read it and it would ruin the surprise, but I will be back with details (and hopefully pictures) of that. We are headed to Sandy to eat some special enchiladas and "Happy Cake" at Matt's Mom's house. Should be a good birthday.

It is now about a week past Matt's birthday, and I can tell you all about it. I got home from work and I gave Matt my present. He has been very interested in the presidential race this year, even voting in the primary, so I became a political contributer and purchased Ron Paul's book and some "I support Ron Paul" buttons. But he was happy. Matt REALLY wanted some telemark (sp?) boots for his birthday, but we figure you can get a used pair of those for cheaper later in the season, so he will just have to wait.

After that, we ran over to my parent's house so he could get a present and say hi to them. Then we ran up to Chrystie and Preston's house to return the GPS we borrowed for our trip to Disneyland. Her little girl was not too happy to see us. We had bought her a little cell phone that had Buzz Lightyear on it and it talked to her, but she was more afraid of it than anything, so, we left there pretty fast and headed up to Matt's Mom's house.

A lot of Matt's family was there waiting for us. We were happy to see Becky and her kids, as well as Amy and her kids and Ray and Joan were there too. We had some nice discussions and some VERY YUMMY food. I now understand why Matt wanted to get his birthday enchiladas. Yum yum. After we had fun playing with the kids and talking some more. One of my favorite parts was when I was flipping through a photo album with Calie and Carson and we saw a picture of "Grandpa Mitch" and Calie asked if it was Dr. Phil. That made me smile.

But I would say Matt had a good birthday. Thanks to everyone!!!
