Friday the 22nd was the first official semi-annual bowling party with Matt’s friends. This has been in the works for, well, about six months. Word spread quickly via text message, and, as if by magic, we all showed up at the bowling alley on Friday night.
Personally, I hadn’t been bowling in a VERY long time (unless you count Wii bowling, which I don’t – but which I am rather good at) so I resigned that I would get last place, and I was right!
We played two very exciting games, each of which ended with me in last place (my high score was 74 I think). A very disappointing showing if I do say so myself. And, not to sound like sour grapes, but Matt didn’t do so swell either. He did beat me both times, but I believe he was in the rear of the pack with me. Lisa (Casey’s wife) was quite the bowler; I must admit I was impressed. It is amazing what two semesters in a bowling class can do for a girl.
After two games the group broke up and most went home. However, we had all paid for three games, so Matt and I decided to stick it out and play the last game for
everyone. It was a transformation! We started knocking down strikes and spares like there was no tomorrow. Pins would fall down just by our looking at them. An in the end I had the best game of bowling I had ever played!!! (which, really, didn’t have to be that great).
But all in all, it was a fun night of bowling, and we are looking forward to August when we will play again.

P.S. In this last game Matt and I played every other player. I scored the 97, 98, 132! :-)
