We packed our big (gigantic) tent into our car and headed out to Becky’s house. We put up the giant tent and set up our beds. [ This is the tent that I got Matt for our anniversary last year. It is just so huge! We had two queen mattresses in there and room to spare. ] We had fun reading books and telling ghost stories. I remembered a story from when I was a kid and tried to have Matt tell it. It was the story about the Ghost of the Table Wable. I tried to find out where this story came from, and apparently it was made up by my brother (probably).
Anyway, the night went well. The kids slept great! I was up a lot of the night because the wind was blowing pretty hard and I was up worried that the kids would wake up! Matt and I finally snuck out of the tent and took the rain flap off. It made the wind a little quieter, so that was good.
We woke up good and early the next morning. I had a sad experience where I was all dressed and ready to go out on a walk and I realized that I packed Matt’s shoes instead of mine. Bummer.
But we had a good time. In a few years those kids will be old enough for us to go real camping. I’m looking forward to that.

Makes me want to go pitch my tent in the backyard before the rain falls and the snow flies!
Thank you for doing that! You guys are so much fun!! It was so funny listening to Carson crack up at the Ghost of Diaper Wiper story. :)
