A Good Book

I love to read, but it seems to take me forever to get through a book. I recently finished reading an abridged version of “The Brothers Karamazov”. It took me all winter and a little more to get through it. It was a good book, but I just never got so into it that I had to keep reading.

I needed a new book to read after that one, so I borrowed “The Book Thief” from my sister. Matt’s Grandparents were talking about that book when we were visiting them a month or so ago, and I was interested in reading it. I knew my sister had it, so when we went to visit her I picked it up.

I couldn’t put it back down.

It isn’t a happy story. I cried so much at the end of the book that I could hardly see the words. (I am a pretty big sissy though, so maybe it wasn’t all that bad). But I really, really liked the book. It has been a while since I read a book that I just wanted to keep reading. I would highly recommend this book to everyone. However, I do warn you that you will want to keep reading, and that you will probably cry.

Good thing you and Chrystie have such discerning parents and grandparents. One of us gave that book to Chrys for Christmas. It's hard to remember which! (old age, you know). I'm wonderin' if there will be bloggin' about your killer week, or whether that might be too dangerous in case certain people might read it.....

I'm always up for a good book. I better put that one on my list. By the way, I also like stories about killer weeks. Ready when you are. Unless I am the one that shouldn't read it!
