Then I met Matt and suddenly I have a guy walking next to me that is super tall. That means that I can wear shoes with a pretty substantial heel and still be shorter than he is. Because of this, I have decided to branch out and become a girl that wears heels.

Matt and I were walking through a Payless and I saw three cute pairs of summery shoes with heels. I gave in (they were on sale) and we picked them up. I wore a pair on Tuesday, and another one yesterday. The pair I wore yesterday has 4 inch heels. OK, that makes me about 6’5’’ (Matt measured me). So we can say I stick out at that point. And to make it worse I just couldn’t walk in them! We had to stop at the Home Depot on our way somewhere, and these were the shoes I had on, so I just stumbled and slid behind Matt as we walked through the store. It wasn’t pretty. But the shoes were.
To make matters worse I got the worst Charlie horse in my calf last night and I think it is from walking on my toes in those shoes.
I will keep at it. Someday I will be able to walk normally in heels!

You go, girl! Way to attempt new things. I'm not gonna . . . too old. I'd break myself. Inch or a bit more is as high as I go.
You will get used to it! I like wearing heels now, making up for lost time I guess.
I am glad I never ever have to wear high heels! Just me and my slippers!
It does take practice! I had to remind myself to walk on the balls of my feet (like playing ballerina when we were little) instead of putting my heels down first like I normally do. You should have seen me on my first cruise. I fit in with all the drunk people staggering down the halls.
I can't walk in them either, and they make my feet hurt. But man, they have cute shoes with heels!
