I love to brush my teeth

It has been about a year since I last went to the Dentist. I have been a very good girl lately and have been very good at making and keeping my dental appointments. However, with my moving to Riverdale and changing jobs and all that good stuff I let my teeth sort of fall to the wayside. The Dental Guilt finally caught up with me and I decided to go to the Dentist, and my appointment was this morning.

I remember as a kid really hating the entire experience of the dentist. My mom would load all of the kids in the car and we would drive out to Kaysville. With 5 kids, we were pretty much there all day. We would fight over who went first and who went last (the first person was the lucky one, because they could eat first – you had to wait 30 minutes after your fluoride treatment). Then we would play video games on the little old game system or read books or make towers with those big legos. Then your name would be called and back you would go. But at least at the end you always got a free little toy or something.

I didn’t get a free toy when I went this time, but I did get a tooth brush, and a guilt trip about flossing. The girl at the desk pulled a picture out of my file that shows Chrystie, Dan and I all circa 1987. Well looked happy, must have had no cavities.
