The Sound of Music

It was a weekend of music. We attended outdoor concerts on both Friday and Saturday nights. On Friday night, Matt and I went to see the Big Bad Voodoo Daddy. I don’t know if it is good or bad, but this is my 3rd time seeing them – and I was still excited. We went with my mom and little brother BJ. The concert was at the amphitheater in Layton. It was sad that they had chairs set up all the way to the front, so there wasn’t really anywhere for anyone to dance. So it ended up being a sit-down concert for most people. We had fun in the back still. Matt and I do not know how to swing dance, but we still had fun.

On Saturday night Matt surprised me and took me to Wolf Mountain to see the Utah Symphony (not the band). We took my parents and made a night of it. It was a good concert, and it was beautiful out there. The temperature got a little cool, but we were prepared. We only had to complain a little about the smokers and beer-drinkers and cell-phone-talkers. But the concert was good. They did a good job of finding music that would be entertaining to the general ignorant masses (like me!) They even played some Star Wars. So, good stuff.

On a Bonus note, we were able to go to Cailey’s 3rd birthday party on Sunday night. We had fun seeing everyone and watching the kids play in the pool. Happy Birthday Cailey.
